Cryopods

What are cryopods for?

A cryopod stores a dino in an item in your inventory. You can carry dozens of dinos with you, protect them, or free up space in your base.

Capturing a dino

1. Equip an empty cryopod.
2. Aim at your tamed dino and use the cryopod.
3. The dino is captured after a few seconds and the cryopod shows up full in your inventory.

Deploying a dino

Select a full cryopod and use it where you want to release the dino.

Server rules

Current configuration values (they may change):

• No cryosickness and no need to recharge cryopods.
• Capturing takes about 5 seconds. It is blocked right after combat (about 10 seconds).
• You cannot release a dino in a cave or in a boss arena.
• A cryo fridge holds 100 slots, a cryo terminal 300.
• Only one cryo terminal per area.

Storing well

• Name your dinos before capturing them: it makes them easier to find.
• Keep cryopods in a cryo fridge or a chest rather than in your inventory.
• Do not store your only precious specimens without a backup: a lost cryopod is a lost dino.
